Lynda.com Online Training Extended Through July 2010
New Training Opportunity for Union Members! NABET-CWA has partnered with Lynda.com to provide free training for our members. With the assistance of Staff Reps, Bill Murray and Carrie Biggs-Adams, the NABET Sector Executive Council, Sector Vice President, Jim Joyce and Sector President, John Clark, this service is being provided nationwide. Lynda is an online training center that provides instruction in over 450 programs. The training is free to members in good standing. Local 42 has been assigned four active accounts. Talk to your Chief Steward about how to get started. Training will be assigned in two-week blocks. All you need is a computer, internet service, an e-mail address and self-discipline. Check out the course catalog online at www.lynda.com. There are no restrictions on what courses to take. Good news! Training has been extended through July, 2010! If you are a Local 42 member and have not taken advantage of this program, which has bee paid for with your union dues, you are crazy! THERE ARE NO RESTRICTIONS ON WHAT TO STUDY! TAKE ANY COURSE YOU LIKE, AND EARN COMPLETION CERTIFICATES! Check it out at www.lynda.com. |
